Leading the Post-McConnell Senate
The 2024 elections will decide the kind of leader who replaces Mitch McConnell
Conservatives already know the 2024 Senate elections will shape American politics for years to come — impeachment trials, Supreme Court nominations, and the war against the Deep State.
But it’s an open secret inside Washington that this election cycle will be even more important than that — the next Senate will be the one that replaces Mitch McConnell as Republican Leader.
The 81-year-old Establishment insider seems to be on his way out. McConnell’s recent health challenges and public missteps have led potential successors to step up their plans.

The media is focused on which other senior Republican will run to replace McConnell when he finally departs the scene. But conservatives’ first priority needs to be the Republican Senators who will cast those votes.
A Senate full of corporate, establishment yes-men is going to elect another corporate, establishment, yes-man as Leader. It doesn’t matter what his name is or where he’s from — we already know how he will fail.
To elect a strong Republican Leader, we first need to elect strong conservative senators.
Senate Conservatives Fund has been leading this fight for more than a decade now. That’s how we got Mike Lee instead of Bob Bennett, Ted Cruz instead of David Dewhurst, Rand Paul instead of Trey Grayson, and Ron Johnson and Josh Hawley… and… and…
If it were up to Mitch McConnell, every conservative in the Senate today would be back home. Never elected. Never standing up. Never causing any trouble for him and The Swamp.
As always, conservatives only won because we fought.
In 2024, we need to fight again. We have the opportunity to move Senate Republicans — and the whole Senate — closer to the American people.
SCF has endorsed four conservatives for the Senate so far this year — leaders already fighting for us on the front lines:
Ted Cruz of Texas
Josh Hawley of Missouri
Rick Scott of Florida, and
Alex Mooney of West Virginia.
The campaign to replace Mitch McConnell needs their voices in the debate and their votes in the balloting.
Rick Scott has already shown the courage to challenge McConnell for leader. And while he didn’t win that fight, a surprising number of Republicans voted for him.
Now we need to grow the ranks of those with the courage to vote for a strong leader who is willing to fight for our principles and values.
Thankfully, the 2024 elections give us a rare opportunity to have a real say in that important decision.
