The Tide is Turning in Alabama
Barry Moore is now within single digits of his establishment opponent
Conservative U.S. Rep. Barry Moore is surging in the Alabama Senate race.
A new poll of the Republican primary shows Moore within striking distance of establishment frontrunner Steve Marshall. Moore trails Marshall by just nine points, 26%-17%.
But the real story is the trend.
Since August, Marshall’s support has fallen by 11%. And since December, Moore’s deficit has shrunk from 17 points to 13 points to single digits.
Moore’s blockbuster quarterly fundraising report told the same story. Last fall, Moore raised $588,000 — almost twice as much as Marshall.
And all that came before President Donald Trump endorsed Moore in January!
The tide is turning in Alabama.
But the Establishment is not going to surrender. They know that in Alabama, the GOP primary is the election. If they can squeak a corporate Republican into this seat, that will give them another vote against true MAGA reform.
But we know the same thing!
