The only thing grassroots conservatives have ever really asked of elected leaders is: DO WHAT YOU SAID YOU WOULD DO!
After all, almost every elected Republican in America — and especially in the U.S. Senate — campaigned as a conservative. They all promise to take on the Swamp and fight for the unborn and gun rights and border security, and the rest.
But when they get to Washington, they change.
The media, corporations, and the Establishment soften them. They encourage conservatives to follow rather than fight.
Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) apparently never got the memo.
The former Auburn football coach is in a months-long battle to protect the U.S. military and unborn children from Joe Biden’s abortion extremism.
As you may remember, when Roe v. Wade was overturned last year, the Biden Administration announced it would reimburse military personnel for any travel expenses they incurred getting abortions.
Senator Tuberville warned the president that if he went through with this plan to turn the Pentagon into an illegal abortion travel agency, he would object to Senate confirmation of any new senior military appointees and promotions.
The Left, the media, the president, and many of Tuberville’s Republican colleagues thought he was bluffing. He wasn’t.
Biden sent the Senate his nominees. Senate Democrat Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) moved to confirm them by unanimous consent. Tuberville said no.
The Left has scolded and threatened and cajoled and lied to get Tuberville to back off. Even some Republican senators are mad at him. But Tommy Tuberville is holding the line.
As he should have! Tuberville is not doing anything wrong!
Joe Biden could have his generals and undersecretaries tomorrow if he dropped his radical abortion policy. Schumer could even confirm all these nominations if he wanted to — it would just require senators to work more than three days a week! Tuberville has offered Democrats several legislative options to resolve the controversy — they said no.
Pro-abortion extremists are the ones obstructing, not pro-lifers.
Tommy Tuberville is only doing what he said he would do when he ran for the Senate. He’s sticking up for unborn children, for the Constitution, and for the integrity of the Armed Forces. He’s the hero of this story — and deserves our support.
Please send a message to Senator Tuberville to thank him for his courage and principled stand.
We know it’s not enough to support conservatives running for the Senate — we also have to support them in the Senate too.
He needs to know that millions of Americans across the country are standing with him in the fight for the unborn.
