Tell Senate Republicans to Block the Swamp Border Deal
Urge Senate Republicans to block the bill by voting NO on "cloture"
The Swamp Border Deal has been released, and it’s as bad as we expected. Consider the following policy failures outlined by Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT):
Codifies catch and release.
Allows up to 1.8 million illegal aliens to enter before temporarily closing parts of the border.
Funds sanctuary cities and NGOs sending illegals around the country.
Subsidizes free, taxpayer-funded legal counsel to illegal aliens.
Expands parole instead of limiting it.
Increases green cards by 50,000 per year for five years.
Work permits for adult children of H-18 visa holders.
Immediate work permits to every illegal released from custody after they pass an initial screening.
Nothing to deport illegals.
Afghan Adjustment Act.
Weakens asylum screenings by codifying Biden policy.
NO IMMEDIATE FUNDING FOR THE WALL.
Thankfully, we have a real opportunity to block consideration of the bill when the Senate votes to bring it up later this week. That vote is on a “cloture motion,” which requires 60 votes, giving 41 Republicans the ability to stop it.
Some Republicans may try to trick their constituents into thinking that a YES vote is only to begin debate and is not a vote in favor of the bill. That is a LIE. The only chance Senate Republicans have to stop this legislation is by opposing cloture. Therefore, a vote FOR cloture is a vote FOR this deal.
Thank you for considering this urgent request and thank you for doing so much to help fight for the principles of freedom that make America great.
