RINOs Kill Voter ID Amendment
Four Republicans opposed the SAVE Act on a simple majority vote
Once again, Senate RINOs let their masks slip.
Four “Republican” Senators — Mitch McConnell, Thom Tillis, Lisa Murkowski, and Susan Collins — killed the last chance for voter ID reform this year.
The vote was on an amendment to include elements of Senator Mike Lee’s SAVE Act in President Trump’s $70 billion immigration enforcement package. This is one of those rare “reconciliation” bills that cannot be filibustered and so can be passed through the Senate without Democrat votes.
You may remember Lee tried to pass the bill through the Senate earlier this year. Republican leaders said it was impossible to break the Democrats’ filibuster, so Lee should instead include voter ID in the reconciliation package.
Well, that’s what Lee did! He offered the SAVE Act as an amendment that could pass with just 51 votes.
And as conservatives suspected all along, it wasn’t Democrats who voted it down. It was four liberal, establishment Republican Senators.
Congressional Republican sellouts are not surprising at this point. But they are still shocking. And, more importantly, they are still the reason conservatives must stay in the fight.
The GOP Establishment will not save America. They are not America First conservatives. They are George Bush Republicans who deep down want open borders, forever wars, and corporate cronyism. When it comes to the toughest votes, on the most important issues, they are as bad as the Left.
The only way to change Senate votes is to change the Senators by electing fighting, principled conservatives.
That’s what SCF has been doing for almost two decades. Our candidates are the ones pushing for border security and election integrity.
Mike Lee. Ted Cruz. Rick Scott. Ron Johnson. Tommy Tuberville. Eric Schmitt.
This is the team fighting in the Senate against the Left and the Establishment.
If we want to win more Senate fights, we have to win more Senate elections.
In 2026, SCF is endorsing superstar conservative candidates across the country:
Ken Paxton, Texas
Barry Moore, Alabama
Kevin Hern, Oklahoma
Mike Collins, Georgia
Ashley Moody, Florida
Roger Marshall, Kansas
Bill Hagerty, Tennessee
Harriet Hageman, Wyoming
These patriots will fight for President Trump, conservative principles, and our children’s future. We need their help in the Senate — and they need ours to win in November.
Please support them with a one-time or monthly contribution.
You can make a general donation to SCF to help all of our supported candidates, or you can contribute directly to any of their campaigns through SCF.
Let’s make the recent SAVE Act vote the last vote RINOs can ruin.
