Greatest Victory of Our Lifetime
The overturning of Roe vs. Wade was a historic win for conservatives
Congratulations.
That’s a word conservatives don’t use too often in Joe Biden’s America. Sometimes it feels like our wins are few and far between — and we never have much time to appreciate them. The next fight is always just around the corner.
But in 2022, conservatives won the most important victory of our lifetime when the Supreme Court overturned the odious Roe v. Wade decision that imposed abortion on demand throughout the United States. For 49 years, pro-life patriots fought and waited, waited and fought.
We were let down time after time by presidents, Senators, and judges who assured us they would stand up for the Constitution and the unborn.
But even after decades of disappointment, the pro-life movement did not quit. We fought harder, smarter, and more effectively. We built a legal network of serious conservative jurists. We elected conservatives to the most important positions in the federal government, and we withstood hurricanes of abuse by the elite Left.
And we won.
Today, every Republican, conservative, and pro-lifer can celebrate the end of Roe.
But it’s important to remember that it never would have happened without a particular kind of pro-life, conservative, Republican — the ones willing to fight.
The dirty little secret of Dobbs is that it was a victory, mostly for the anti-establishment Right, not the Washington GOP.
Who was the president who appointed Supreme Court Justices Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett? It wasn’t establishment favorites like Jeb Bush or Mitt Romney, or John Kasich. It was Donald Trump.
Who were the Senators who confirmed them? Pro-life leaders like Mike Lee, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Ron Johnson, and Josh Hawley were outsiders when they ran for the Senate. The GOP establishment wanted different candidates — some openly pro-abortion, some that eventually became Democrats!
Senate Conservatives Fund is proud to have played a part in electing these fighting, principled leaders — and defeating the corporate RINOs Mitch McConnell preferred.
But we could not have played that part without you. America’s victory over Roe and abortion-on-demand belongs first and foremost to the grassroots conservatives whose prayers, votes, and contributions made it happen.
Even now, the Republican Establishment is still afraid of the abortion issue. They would rather talk taxes and launch forever wars. But the fight to protect unborn boys and girls is not over. With Roe gone, Congress now has to take the next step.
There’s only one way to do it: elect more conservative stalwarts to the Senate. In Republican primaries and in general elections, we have to find and fund the best pro-life candidates in America.
That’s what Senate Conservative Fund is doing.
We’re already backing four of them for the 2024 cycle — Ted Cruz in Texas, Josh Hawley in Missouri, Rick Scott in Florida, and Alex Mooney in West Virginia. All four have targets on their backs — both the Democrats and the GOP establishment would love for them to go away.
But conservatives can’t let that happen. The fight for life never stops.
The Dobbs decision was our greatest victory in decades — but all it did was give us the right, the privilege, to keep fighting harder than ever.
SCF is fighting. Grassroots conservatives across the country are, too. And together, we will save the unborn, our country, and our freedom.
