Cancel the August Recess
Tell the Senate to stay in session to confirm President Trump's nominees
Fellow patriots:
Washington is in an uproar.
Oh, but it’s not about our $36 trillion national debt. Or the revelation that Barack Obama was behind Russiagate. No, it’s about something Much More Important to political elites.
That’s right. President Trump just called on Senate Republicans to cancel their August recess, stay in Washington, and confirm his nominees.
Right now, more than 100 nominations are languishing in the Senate, just waiting to be voted on. Many are for senior positions that need to be filled to deliver on his agenda.
How is this possible, you ask?
Because the modern Senate only works three days a week! Almost every week, their first vote is Monday night, and their last is Thursday afternoon.
This has been a scandal for years. Congress created a $7 trillion government full of waste, fraud, and abuse. Now it wants to run the government while working part-time.
And they wonder why Congress’s approval rating is so low!
Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) has already endorsed Trump’s plan:
And Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) is reportedly open to it!
Please help us pressure the Senate to stay in session this August to confirm President Trump’s nominees.
Send a note to your Senators right now!
Establishment politicians are furious. They hate the idea of giving up their precious recess. They say it’s important to be home to talk to their constituents. But what’s really important is for them to confirm the president’s nominees!
This is the most effective, transformative president in a generation. He is securing our border, reshaping global trade, rebuilding our military, reviving our economy, and rescuing our culture from woke fanatics.
Donald Trump needs his team in place — and only the Senate can put them there. This issue isn’t complicated. Vacation is supposed to be for people who do their jobs!
Please use our free grassroots advocacy platform to send Washington a message.
Cancel recess. Confirm Trump’s team.
It’s that simple.
Thank you for your attention to this time-sensitive matter. Thank you for being part of our team.
